Privacy Policy
1. Introduction
This Privacy Policy describes how JunkDNA AI, Inc. (“JunkDNA,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and discloses information from visitors to watzaaa.ai (the “Site”) and participants in the WATZAAA program (the “Service”). If you also hold a JunkDNA account, the JunkDNA Platform Privacy Policy governs that account; this policy governs WATZAAA.
2. Information We Collect
(a) Information you provide. When you join a group, host an outing, or send feedback, we collect what you submit: typically your first name, mobile number, neighborhood or home area, interests, availability, and — for hosts — the size of your party. Forms are hosted by Jotform and the responses are stored in our systems.
(b) Verification results. If you complete phone verification, we record that control of the number was confirmed. If you complete ID verification through our hosted provider, we record only the outcome (match / no match) and the verification level. We never receive or store images of identity documents.
(c) Outing activity. Which outings you were offered, joined, attended, and how you rated them, so we can measure whether the Service works.
(d) Automatic information. IP address, browser type, pages viewed, referring URL, and similar technical data, collected through standard server logs (Vercel) and analytics (Google Analytics 4, with IP anonymization and advertising features disabled).
(e) Cookies. We use essential cookies to keep the Site working and, where you have not signaled otherwise, analytics cookies to understand how the Site is used. We honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) and Do Not Track signals by not loading analytics at all. One essential cookie (wz_city) remembers the last city you viewed so the Site opens there next time; it holds only the city name.
(f) Location. To open the Site on the city nearest you, our hosting provider gives us an approximate location derived from your network address (city-level, never precise). We use it only to choose a city page and do not store it. If you press “Use my location”, your browser asks your permission and sends us your coordinates once, rounded to roughly a city block; we use them only to choose a city and do not store them. You can always pick any city by hand.
3. How We Use Information
We use information to: operate the Service and put groups together; send you messages about outings you have joined or asked about; verify eligibility (18+) and identity to the level you chose; measure whether people show up and connect; prevent fraud, abuse, and no-shows; improve the Site; and comply with law. We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not build advertising profiles.
4. Sharing
We share information with: (a) other participants — first name and, when you join a group, the details needed to meet (never your phone number unless you choose to share it); (b) venues — group size and arrival time, never individual identities; (c) service providers that host and run the Service under confidentiality and data-protection terms — currently Vercel (hosting), Supabase (database), Jotform (forms), Google (analytics), and our identity-verification and messaging providers when those features are active; (d) law enforcement when required by valid legal process; and (e) an acquirer in the event of a merger, acquisition, or asset sale. We do not sell personal information and have not done so.
5. Messages
If you give us a mobile number, a person on our team may text you about outings. You can stop at any time by replying STOP. We keep a record of your consent and of any STOP request. Mobile numbers and consent records are never shared with third parties for their own marketing.
6. Your Rights
Depending on where you live (including under the CCPA/CPRA, GDPR, and similar laws), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, email privacy@junkdna.ai. We will verify the request and respond within the time required by law. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
7. Children's Privacy
WATZAAA is for adults 18 and older. The Site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has submitted information, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Data Retention
Public event facts are retained indefinitely. Participant information from the test is deleted or anonymized after analysis unless you opt in to continue with the Service. Consent and STOP records are kept as required by law. Server logs and analytics are retained on our providers' standard schedules (Google Analytics data retention is set to 2 months).
9. Security
We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures, including encryption in transit and at rest, row-level access controls in our database, and restricted access to phone numbers. Verification images never enter our systems. No system is perfectly secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. International Visitors
The Service is operated from the United States and intended for people in the United States. If you access it from elsewhere, your information will be processed in the United States.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy. Material changes will be announced on the Site for at least 30 days, with the “Last modified” date updated above.
